#114 Flowers

It's unusual to see flowers blooming here in January, but the family I work for has Lenten Roses in their back yard that are blooming beautifully today. I softened the focus a little and added a frame.

  4. They are not actual roses but a perennial flower.

  5. The softness works really well here, and I like the dof of the stamens and pistil.

  11. My favorite thing about flowers is that they seldom move just as you get them focused (unless the wind is blowing)--unlike animals, people, vehicles, etc.

  12. Your processing really works here. I'm envious of anyone who has an outdoor flower subject to photograph this time of year.
