It's unusual to see flowers blooming here in January, but the family I work for has Lenten Roses in their back yard that are blooming beautifully today. I softened the focus a little and added a frame.
My favorite thing about flowers is that they seldom move just as you get them focused (unless the wind is blowing)--unlike animals, people, vehicles, etc.
Beautiful! I love the soft focus with the delicate color against the black background.
ReplyDeleteThe soft focus has really worked with this image...great capture
ReplyDeleteReally? I can't believe there are still roses blooming...so soft and pretty!
ReplyDeleteThey are not actual roses but a perennial flower.
ReplyDeleteThe softness works really well here, and I like the dof of the stamens and pistil.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful makes me wish to see more!
ReplyDeleteI love the dreamy look of the flowers. I think it adds to the sense that blooming in January is special. :)
ReplyDeleteThe flower glows with an ethereal light.
ReplyDeleteFlowers aren't my strong point but its is always good to see the unusual.
ReplyDeleteLovely flower. Well done.

ReplyDeleteYour processing really works here. I'm envious of anyone who has an outdoor flower subject to photograph this time of year.
ReplyDeleteNicely processed. Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteLovely diffused light.
